Title
Ifṭār celebration with the Wazīr
Short description
Ifṭār celebration with the Vizir with qurʾānic cantillation and fakirs rituals with fire. Although there is no specific mention, it is possible that the Ṣūfīs mentioned in this passage were from the Qādirī Order, widespread in Maldives (see Maldives, EI-3).

وقدم الطعام فأكلوا، ثم قرأ القراء بالأصوات الحسان، ثم أخذوا في السماع والرقص وأعددت النار، فكان الفقراء يدخلونها ويطئونها بالأقدام، ومنهم من يأكلها كما تُؤْكَل الحلواء إلى أن خمدت [ص. ٤٢١]
English translation
The food was then served, and when the guests had eaten, the Qurʾān readers chanted in beautiful voices. The poor brethren then began their ritual chants [al-samāʿ] and dances [raqṣ]. I had made ready a fire and they went into it, treading it with their feet, and some of them ate it as one eats sweetmeats, until it was extinguished.

Observations on the events description
The author uses the Arabic term "fuqarāʾ", literally "poors", the same meaning as the term "dervīshes" of Persian origin. Considering the rituals described, he was referring to Ṣūfīs.
The dots on the map indicate the places where sound and music events were described. They don't represent travel stages.
